We all want to look our best, so why not feel your best as well. Here at Miss Organics we are committed to using all natural products on our body and skin, so of course we want our beauty accessories to be just the same! Below are some of our favourite all natural and vegan friendly skincare and beauty accessories, that are not only good for you but also the earth.
1. Face exfoliator
Who here has heard of the Konjac Sponge? Don’t be worried If you haven’t as I am about to tell you why this amazing product & brand makes the perfect exfoliator.
Konjac is nutrient rich a plant grown in high altitudes in Africa, it contains 97% water and is full of mineral goodness. Pure Konjac is free from artificial chemicals and irritants and is blended with volcanic water to create the product. The Konjac sponge benefits from being made from 100% natural vegetable fibre as well as being 100% colouring and additive free. It can be used on its own to gently exfoliate the skin and it is so gentle that it's suitable for even the most sensitive skin types; you cal also apply your normal cleanser along with it. The Konjac is blended with nourishing mineral extracts, that when applied to your face, deeply cleanse, exfoliate and refine your skin for a radiant complexion. There are different types of clays the sponges are enriched with based on skin type so look for the one that's right for you.
2. Make-up brushes
When It comes to foundation, I only apply when it’s a fancy occasion however when I do it’s always important for me to know that even the brushes I use are natural and vegan. Started in 2007, Ecotools aims to make women look beautiful on the outside and feel just as good on the inside. All their brushes are environmentally friendly, free from tree paper and sourced from recycled materials and renewable bamboo. They do a great starter set but Ecotools don’t just do make-up brushes, they also have Eco shower pouf’s, sleep masks, cleansing brushes and many more exciting things. Go check them out on the link below!
3. Jade Rollers
Jade rollers originated in China and have been around for centuries. They can be used on their own or with facial oils/creams to essentially massage the product into your skin. The roller is used around the eye area to aid lymph drainage and blood flow, improving dark circles and puffiness. It also rolls away the tension and stress build up between your brows.
The healing properties of jade and the massaging action aid circulation making sure your skin gets all the nutrients it needs and boost radiance. And if you have a headache, put your jade roller in the fridge for a while and then massage around your eyes and temples. It does wonders!
4. Nail Varnish
Let’s talk nails. There are loads of great brands out there that provide healthier nail varnish options, however my favourite is Ella + Mila.
They focus solely on producing only eco-friendly fashion forward products that are ‘seven chemical free’. What’s this you might ask? This means that none of their nail varnishes contain Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Triphenyl Phosphate, Xylene or Camphor, making it free from the most harmful chemicals. They are also vegan and cruelty free.
5. Dry Body Brush
Originating in India, dry body brushing is the act of brushing the body before showering in order to get rid of any dead skin cells, which naturally exfoliates the skin. Dry brushing is one of the simplest and natural ways to exfoliate your body! Another benefit of dry brushing is the lymphatic support it gives the body. The lymphatic system is a major part of the immune system and the vessels that run just below your skin are responsible for transporting lymph through your body. Dry brushing helps to stimulate the lymph flow within the body and can act as a natural detoxifier.
One of the best advantages of dry brushing is that it helps your cellulite! Yes girls, you heard that correctly. No shame in having cellulite but if you wanted to improve the appearance of yours, by brushing daily, it circulates your blood flow and slows down cellulite production and improves skin tone and softness (it takes a while but it does work!).
If you check out our previous blog post you will find info on how to use a dry body brush and everything else you need to know.
6. Did someone say Glitter?
Glitter has taken the make-up world by storm and due to it now being the summer (yay) it seems wherever I look everyone is wearing it. My go to shop for this product is Obsessive compulsive cosmetics as they do a massive range of colours (seriously there’re about 20) that will suit every sparkly occasion you could want. They also have the best names for their products; Supernova, Smoked Plum and Mirrorball just to name a few!
And of course, they are all 100% vegan and cruelty free!
7. Can I hold this for you?
After buying everything you possibly can you obviously need a place to store it all… Yes, a vegan make-up bag!
There are so many bags to choose from, however I found the best site where all these amazing products are sold is Etsy. On this site, there are 100’s of make-up bags that are all vegan, including vegan leather! You will have to look out for the ‘V’ symbol when purchasing but I promise you will not be disappointed. From zebra’s to #vegannotboring, these make-up bags are perfect to hold all those items you’ve just bought! Happy Shopping!
